Double sided pet tape is a versatile tool that comes in handy for many uses including mounting, sealing and installing. It's often undetectable as it sits between two layers, holding them together temporarily or permanently, depending on the style of tape. Staples carries several sizes for multiple tasks from brands including Duck, Scotch and 3M.
Backed by Jiangsu Gelly Adhesive Material Technology Co., Ltd and our 30 years of adhesive expertise, our Colored & Standard Double Sided Tissue/PET Tape Series provides a comprehensive matrix of bonding solutions for diverse industrial needs. While our standard white tissue tapes offer excellent hand-tearability and general-purpose bonding, our specialized colored tapes (Blue/Red) are engineered for critical visual identification, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and masking applications. For applications requiring higher tensile strength and temperature resistance, our PET film series ensures dimensional stability during precision die-cutting and electronics assembly.
Visual Color-Coding (Blue/Red): Colored tissue and PET tapes allow operators to instantly verify tape application, differentiate between product batches, or serve as a tamper-evident seal in manufacturing and packaging lines.
Excellent Hand-Tearability (Tissue Series): The non-woven tissue carrier can be easily torn by hand in both directions without scissors, significantly improving operational efficiency in manual assembly and packaging.
High Dimensional Stability (PET Series): The polyester (PET) film carrier prevents stretching and shrinking, making it ideal for precision die-cutting, kiss-cutting, and automated pick-and-place assembly.
Multiple Adhesive Options: Available in Solvent-Based (aggressive tack, weather/chemical resistant) and Water-Based (eco-friendly, low odor) formulations to suit specific environmental and substrate requirements.
Consistent Release Liner: Backed by high-quality 100g white release paper (or PE film) that provides smooth, consistent unwinding and prevents the tape from splitting during high-speed automated dispensing.
Printing & Paper Splicing: Web splicing in printing presses, envelope sealing, and securing paper/box flaps during manufacturing.
Error-Proofing & Assembly: Using blue or red tape to mark specific assembly steps, ensuring operators do not miss critical bonding points on the production line.
Electronics & Die-Cutting: PET series is widely used for mounting LCD screens, touch panels, and securing lightweight electronic components where precise die-cut shapes are required.
Leather & Textile Manufacturing: Temporary or permanent joining of fabrics, leather, and non-woven materials during sewing and cutting processes.
Standard Release Liner: 100g White Release Paper (Custom PE liners available)

A Strong and Established Tape Manufacturer

Colored double-sided tapes are primarily used for visual identification and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) on assembly lines. Operators can instantly verify that a specific bonding step was completed by looking for the blue or red color. They are also used to differentiate between product batches, serve as tamper-evident seals, or provide contrast when bonding dark materials where white tape would be visible through gaps.
Tissue tape uses a non-woven paper carrier, making it highly conformable to curves and easily hand-tearable. It is ideal for paper splicing, envelope sealing, and lightweight mounting. PET tape uses a polyester film carrier, which offers much higher tensile strength, dimensional stability (no stretching), and higher temperature resistance (up to 100°C). PET is required for precision die-cutting, electronics mounting, and applications where the tape must not tear during automated dispensing.
Solvent-Based adhesive offers aggressive initial tack, higher peel strength, and excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. It is the standard for industrial and outdoor applications. Water-Based adhesive is eco-friendly, low-odor, and non-toxic, making it the preferred choice for indoor use, stationery, paper crafts, and packaging where environmental health and air quality are priorities.
