Copper balls are commonly used in conductive, electrical-contact and soft-contact ball applications.
Copper balls are manufactured from high-purity copper materials and are widely used where electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are important.
Compared with standard steel balls, copper balls provide significantly higher electrical conductivity and better thermal-transfer performance, making them suitable for conductive balls, electrical-contact applications and soft metallic contact applications.
Copper balls also provide non-magnetic properties and good ductility for applications requiring soft metallic contact surfaces.
Due to their relatively soft structure compared with bearing steel balls, copper balls are generally not recommended for high-load rolling element bearing applications.
