Double sided pet tape 120mic
Backed by Jiangsu Gelly Adhesive Material Technology Co., Ltd and our 30 years of adhesive expertise, our 120 Micron Double Sided PET Tape is a high-performance bonding solution consisting of a transparent polyester (PET) film carrier and a specially modified acrylic adhesive system. Unlike standard adhesives, this formulation is engineered to be highly resistant to plasticizers and offers a secure, permanent bond even at elevated temperatures. It provides excellent immediate adhesion performance, ensuring reliable bonding strength on notoriously difficult low surface energy (LSE) substrates such as PP, PE, EPDM rubber, and ABS plastics.
Reliable Bond to LSE Substrates: The modified acrylic adhesive chemically "wets out" and grips low surface energy materials like polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and EPDM rubber without the need for chemical primers.
Plasticizer & Chemical Resistance: Specifically formulated to resist plasticizer migration from PVC and soft plastics, preventing the adhesive from degrading, liquefying, or losing tack over time.
Immediate Usability: Delivers exceptionally high initial tack (quick grab), allowing for immediate usability and handling right after assembly without the need for prolonged clamping or curing times.
Suitability for Heavy Stress & High Temperatures: The robust 25μm PET carrier provides high tensile strength and dimensional stability, while the adhesive withstands heavy mechanical stress and elevated thermal environments.
Automotive Industry: Mounting of ABS plastic parts, interior trims, and self-adhesive mounting of rubber/EPDM weatherstripping profiles where plasticizer resistance is critical.
Furniture & Building Materials: Mounting of decorative profiles, edge banding, and mouldings in the furniture industry, especially on melamine or coated surfaces.
Electronics & Devices: Secure mounting of battery packs, camera lenses, and touch-screens in electronic devices requiring high dimensional stability and thermal resistance.
General Industrial Assembly: Bonding of dissimilar materials, nameplates, and structural components subjected to high shear and peel stresses.

Our AdvantagesOur Advantages
A Strong and Established Tape Manufacturer

Low Surface Energy (LSE) substrates like Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), and EPDM rubber have a "slick" molecular surface that standard adhesives cannot grip, causing the tape to peel off easily. Our modified acrylic adhesive is chemically engineered with a lower surface tension to effectively "wet out" and flow into these difficult surfaces, creating a strong, permanent bond without the need for harsh chemical primers.
Soft plastics, PVC, and certain automotive interior materials contain plasticizers (chemicals that make the plastic flexible). Over time, these chemicals migrate to the surface and dissolve standard rubber or acrylic adhesives, turning them into a liquid mess and causing parts to fall off. Our adhesive system is specifically formulated to be highly resistant to plasticizers, ensuring a secure, long-term bond even when applied directly to soft ABS or plasticized components.
No. One of the primary advantages of this 120μm modified PET tape is its excellent immediate adhesion performance (high initial tack). It provides reliable bonding strength right out of the gate, allowing for immediate usability and handling right after assembly. This significantly speeds up production lines by eliminating the need for prolonged clamping, fixturing, or curing times associated with liquid glues.
Yes. EPDM rubber is a notoriously difficult LSE material to bond. The combination of our LSE-modified adhesive and the high tensile strength of the 25μm PET carrier makes it ideal for the self-adhesive mounting of rubber/EPDM weatherstripping profiles, door seals, and vibration dampening pads in the automotive and construction industries. It withstands the heavy mechanical stress and thermal cycling typical of vehicle exteriors.
