Double sided pet tape
● Feature: Strong adhesion, high temprature resistance, weather resistance, good durability, water proof
Backed by Jiangsu Gelly Adhesive Material Technology Co., Ltd and our 30 years of adhesive expertise, our 80 Micron Double Sided PET Tape (Solvent-Based Series) is a high-performance bonding solution engineered for precision industrial applications. Featuring a dimensionally stable 25μm PET (Polyester) film carrier coated on both sides with an aggressive solvent-based acrylic adhesive, this 80μm tape delivers exceptional tensile strength, high temperature resistance, and medium solvent resistance. Its rigid carrier prevents stretching during high-speed rotary and flatbed die-cutting processes, making it the ultimate choice for securing electronic components, membrane switches, and nameplates.
Exceptional Dimensional Stability: The 25μm PET film carrier provides zero-stretch handling, ensuring tight tolerances and preventing web-breaks during high-speed precision die-cutting and kiss-cutting operations.
High Temperature & Solvent Resistance: Withstands continuous temperatures up to 120°C and resists degradation from mild solvents, chemicals, and plasticizers, ensuring long-term reliability in harsh environments.
Aggressive Solvent-Based Adhesion: The modified acrylic solvent-based adhesive delivers ultra-high initial tack and permanent holding power (≥60 hours), creating a strong, reliable bond on both High Surface Energy (HSE) and Low Surface Energy (LSE) substrates.
Strong Tensile Strength: The robust PET carrier prevents the tape from tearing or splitting during automated dispensing and manual application, significantly improving assembly line efficiency.
Consistent Release Liner: Backed by high-quality 100g white release paper (or customized PE film) that provides smooth, consistent unwinding and prevents the tape from splitting during automated processes.
Electronics & Display Assembly: Mounting earphone gaskets, camera lenses, microphone dust-protection nets, PCB boards, and LCD frames/gaskets in smartphones, tablets, and wearables.
Nameplates & Membrane Switches: Permanent bonding of metal/plastic nameplates, graphic overlays, and membrane switches to appliance panels and automotive dashboards.
Battery & Component Fixing: Securing battery gaskets, memory cards, keypads, and hard material components within electronic enclosures.
Precision Die-Cutting & Converting: The ideal carrier for rotary and flatbed die-cutting of insulators, EMI/RFI shielding materials, and custom gaskets due to its non-stretch properties.

Our AdvantagesOur Advantages
A Strong and Established Tape Manufacturer

Tissue tape is soft and hand-tearable, making it great for general mounting. However, it stretches and tears easily during high-speed automated dispensing. 80μm PET film tape uses a rigid 25μm polyester carrier that offers zero-stretch dimensional stability and extreme tensile strength. This ensures tight tolerances during precision rotary or flatbed die-cutting, prevents web-breaks in automated pick-and-place assembly lines, and provides superior electrical insulation for electronic components.
The total thickness of the tape (excluding the release liner) is exactly 80 microns (0.08mm). This is achieved by using a 25-micron (0.025mm) high-tensile PET film substrate, coated on both sides with a combined 55-micron (0.055mm) layer of solvent-based acrylic adhesive. This specific ratio provides the perfect balance of dimensional stability and gap-filling adhesion.
Yes. Our solvent-based acrylic adhesive formulation is engineered for high thermal stability. It maintains its structural integrity and strong holding power (≥60 hours shear) at continuous operating temperatures up to 120°C, making it highly suitable for securing components near processors, batteries, and power supplies inside smartphones, laptops, and automotive electronics.
Absolutely. Because PET film is dimensionally stable, it is the perfect material for precision kiss-cutting and die-cutting. We can supply your 80μm tape in custom 2D shapes, gaskets, or continuous rolls with specific spacing and extended release liner tabs (fingers), making it incredibly easy for operators to peel and apply the parts on your automated assembly line.
